Dr. Zhifu Yang received both a Bachelor of Engineering (1982) and a Master of Science in Metallurgy (1989) from the University of Science and Technology, Bejjing, China. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Purdue University in 2004, where his dissertation was titled “Assessing Cumulative Damage in Concrete and Quantifying its Influence on Life Cycle Performance of Concrete Structuresation.

Dr. Yang has been a professor with the CIM Program at MTSU since 2005. He lives in Murfreesboro with his wife, daughter and son.
