CIM Program - Middle Tennessee State University

Many organizations in the concrete industry offer scholarships for students interested in pursuing a Concrete Industry Management degree. The list below indicates the scholarships available. ARKANSAS READY MIX CONCRETE ASSOCIATION
General Information: This Scholarship is intended for an Arkansas resident. More information about this scholarship can be obtained from the contact listed below.

Criteria:
1) Attend MTSU in pursuit of a Concrete Industry Management degree
2) Any high school graduate of an Arkansas School
For the scholarship to be renewed annually the student must:
1) Maintain a 2.5 grade point average

CALIFORNIA CEMENT PROMOTION COUNCIL SCHOLARSHIP
General Information: This Scholarship is offered to California and Nevada residents who intend to major in Concrete Industry Management at MTSU.

Criteria:
1) Meet the requirements for admission or transfer to MTSU
2) Be active in high school or community groups
3) Exhibit a strong interest in pursuing a career in the concrete industry
4) Major in Concrete Industry Management
5) Be a full time resident in the state of California or Nevada
For the scholarship to be renewed annually the student must:
1) Maintain a 2.5 grade point average
2) Be classified as a full time student (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester) pursuing the CIM major

Scholarship Amount: $4,000.00 per year for four years

CEMEX SCHOLARSHIP
General Information: This Scholarship will be awarded to a Cemex employee, dependent or another qualified student who intends to major in Concrete Industry Management at MTSU. Preference will be given to employees and dependents of Cemex employees.

Criteria:

COMMAND ALKON ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP
General Information: This Scholarship is offered to an incoming Freshman

CONCRETE SUPPLY COMPANY SCHOLARSHIP
General Information: This Scholarship will be awarded to a Concrete Supply Co. employee, dependent or another qualified student who intends to major in Concrete Industry Management at MTSU. Preference will be given to employees and dependents of employees of Concrete Supply Co. This scholarship is only awarded every four years.

Criteria:
1) Meet the requirements for admission or transfer to MTSU

DR. EARL KEESE CIM SCHOLARSHIP
General Information: This Scholarship will be awarded to a full time student in the Concrete Industry Management program as a one-time gift. The Scholarship is to honor a senior for exhibiting outstanding qualities in leadership and professionalism, plus enthusiasm toward the concrete industry and the program as Dr. Earl Keese does.

Criteria:
1) Must be a full time student
2) Must be a senior or junior who will be a senior by the following fall term
3) Have a GPA of 2.5 of higher
4) Exhibit the qualities of leadership, professionalism and enthusiasm as Dr. Earl Keese does
5) Been involved in extracurricular activities that incorporate the concrete industry

General Information: This Scholarship will be awarded to a full time student in the Concrete Industry Management program as a one-time gift. This scholarship is to honor a student who has interned for a FICAP member company before their senior year.

GEORGIA CONCRETE & PRODUCTS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
General Information: This Scholarship is offered to residents from the state of Georgia and surrounding states of Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Applicants must be sponsored by a company who is a member of this organization. Any interested student should contact the name listed below, you will be referred to a company that wishes to sponsor an applicant.

General Information: This Scholarship will be awarded to a MMC Materials, Inc. employee, dependent or any other qualified student from either Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, or Tennessee who intends to major in Concrete Industry Management at MTSU. Preference will be given to employees and dependents of employees of MMC Materials, Inc.

Criteria:

NATIONAL PRECAST CONCRETE ASSOCIATION'S EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION
General Information: The National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA) Educational Foundation is sponsoring scholarships for deserving students pursuing a career related to
the precast concrete industry.  These careers include opportunities in manufacturing facilities, architectural fields, the specifying community, engineering firms and the general construction industry.

Criteria:
Any high school student, high school graduate or current undergraduate may apply who will be enrolling full time in an academic institution for the year beginning in September following the date of application, and whose course of study is in an academic field related to the building, construction or precast concrete industry.  The academic institution may be either a four year college or a community college with a recognized related course of study. Scholarships will not exceed four years and are awarded in the amount of $1,000 per academic year.

General Information: This Scholarship is intended for a Middle Tennessee State University
Recipients.

Criteria:
1) Attend MTSU in pursuit of a Concrete Industry Management degree.
2) Student must stay in full time status.
3) Scholarship is for one academic year. Prior recipients are not disqualified from consideration
for this scholarship during subsequent years.

TENNESSEE CONCRETE ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
General Information: This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time college student, or a high school senior planning to obtain a degree in the Concrete Industry Management program.

Criteria:
1) Must be a US citizen
2) Must be enrolled or qualified to enroll at MTSU
3) Major in Concrete Industry Management
For the scholarship to be renewed annually the student must:
1) Maintain a 2.0 grade point average
2) Be classified as a full time student (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester) pursuing the CIM major

3)If awarded student must help out in TCA's annual golf tournament.

TITAN AMERICA LLC SCHOLARSHIP
General Information: This Scholarship is intended for a Middle Tennessee State University.  Recipient that have earned enough undergraduate hours to be classified as a junior or senior.

Criteria:
1) Attend MTSU in pursuit of a Concrete Industry Management degree.
2) Recipient have to classified as a junior or senior and must stay in full time status.
3)Minimum grade point average of 2.8 and shall be active in the campus community through participation in school activities or volunteer work.
4) Recipients shall be from the states of Florida, Virginia, or North Carolina. First preference shall be given to students who are dependents of Titan America employees, regardless of their home residency.
5) Students receiving the scholarship in their junior year will be qualified for renewal if they continue to meet all other criteria.

VIRGINIA READY-MIXED CONCRETE ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
General Information: This scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior who is accepted for enrollment at MTSU with a major in Concrete Industry Management. Preference will be given to a dependent of a VRMCA member company or an employee of a VRMCA member firm.

Criteria:
1) Be a resident of Virginia
2) Meet the requirements for admission to MTSU
3) Be active in high school or community groups
4) Exhibit strong interest in pursing a career in the concrete industry
5) Major in Concrete Industry Management at MTSU
6) Be willing to accept summer employment with a VRMCA producer following each of the first 3 yrs of study
